At level 52 Cabal Online asks the question that generates the most debate on any server: Capella or Procyon? You choose it with a quest in your town and from then on you fight in the Nation War for that side. This guide explains what really changes between the two nations, what does not, and how to decide without regrets.

What really changes
- The war. Every war pits Capella against Procyon in Tierra Gloriosa. Your nation decides who you fight with and against.
- The weekly bonus. The nation that wins the bonus war gets advantages on every map for the week: more drop, more EXP, more skill EXP, more AXP and an exclusive warp point. Being in the winning nation is noticeable.
- Who you play with. Inside the war you cannot trade with the opposing nation, and the battle uniform marks who is who.
- PK in the field. Outside the war, PK against the other nation exists: on maps full of the other side, be careful.
What does NOT change
- Classes, skills, maps, dungeons and items are the same for both nations.
- There is no nation that is “stronger” by design. Each side's strength is decided by the players in it, and that changes over time.
How to decide
- With your guild or your friends. It is the number one criterion: the war is twice as fun when you know the people on your side, and your guild cannot help you in a war if you are on the other side.
- Look at who is winning… and who is losing. If one nation dominates, the other usually has more room for newcomers and shorter war queues. Winning the bonus is nice; being one among a hundred is nice too.
- Do not go by the colour. It is a community decision, not an aesthetic one.
What if I choose wrong?
Choosing a nation is an important decision: make it when your guild or group has already decided, not the minute the quest appears. If you are not level 52 yet, the beginner's guide gets you there; if you are, the Nation War guide explains requirements, level groups and how it is won.
Capella vs Procyon: what changes and what doesn't (table)
Quick summary to decide between Capella and Procyon without myths. Both nations play by the same rules: what varies is who you fight against, what bonus your side receives and who you share the war with.

In short: the nation doesn't change your class, your skills or where you play; it changes your war, your bonus and your community. That's why the number one criterion is still your guild or your friends, not the color. The requirements, the level brackets and the battlefield rules are in the Nation War guide.
FAQ
Can I change nation in Cabal Online?
Neither this guide nor the Nation War guide describes a procedure to change nation, so treat it as a decision you make once. That's why it's best to choose when your guild or your group is already decided, not the minute the quest shows up.
Which nation is better, Capella or Procyon?
Neither is stronger by design: classes, skills, maps, dungeons and items are the same for both, and the strength of each side is decided by the players who are in it. Choose with your guild or your friends and look at who is winning and who is losing: the dominant nation collects the weekly bonus, but the other one usually has more room for newcomers and less of a queue in the war.
At what level do I choose a nation?
From level 52, with a quest in your city. If you're not there yet, the beginner's guide takes you up to that level.
How do I enter the Nation War?
You need to belong to a nation, minimum level 52, class rank 6 and the Alz for the entry fee of your level bracket. A few minutes before each war the system alerts your whole nation: click the alert or the war icon to enter the lobby, where the fee is deducted and you can form a party. The six level brackets, the towers and the rewards are explained in the Nation War guide.
