Choosing a class is the first important decision in Cabal Online, and it cannot be changed later: if you want to try another one, you will have to create a new character. That is why it pays to know what each one does before you press “Create”. Here are the 9 Cabal Online classes with their weapon, armor, main stat and the kind of player each one suits, exactly as they are on Cabal Latino.

The 9 classes, one by one
The stat split is the game's classic guideline (STR / INT / DEX ratio per 12 points). Always adjust it to the requirements of the gear you want to wear.

WarriorRaw strength and heavy armor. Hits hard with a two-handed greatsword and soaks up huge amounts of damage: the most straightforward class in the game and the best one to learn with.
Starting town: Bloody Ice
Blader

Starting town: Green Despair
Force Archer
Force ArcherA magical sniper: enormous single-target damage from very far away, plus support skills (heals and buffs) for the party.

Starting town: Desert Scream
Gladiator

Starting town: Bloody Ice
Force Gunner
Force GunnerRanged artillery with crystal and orb: high attack speed, critical hits and area damage from afar. A sniper that also wreaks havoc in a party.
Starting town: Green Despair
Dark Mage
Dark MageThe newest class: dark magic that fuses the souls of the fallen with the Force to summon and punish. A unique and spectacular playstyle.
Starting town: Desert Scream
Which is the best class to start with?
If it is your first character, Warrior or Gladiator: heavy armor, lots of HP and a direct style that lets you focus on learning combos and maps. The Force Shielder also forgives mistakes, although its damage is lower. Blader and Force Blader are the PvP favorites, but they demand good hands. Wizard, Force Archer and Force Gunner shine in parties and dungeons, where they clear whole rooms from a distance. The Dark Mage is the newest class and the most different: if you like summons and dark magic, it is yours.
Tips for any class
- Raise stats according to your class, but check the requirements of the gear you are going to use first: high INT is useless if your armor asks for DEX.
- Do the class rank quests as soon as they appear. Each rank unlocks new skills and, later on, the Battle Modes.
- You can have several characters per account. If you are torn between two classes, create both and try them up to level 30 before deciding.
- On Cabal Latino you can see your characters, their level, Alz and masteries from My account.
Which class to choose? Decision table
If you want the short answer, this table cross-references each class with its role, its armor, its weapon, its main stat and its starting town; the link in the last column opens the class sheet with its skills by rank.
| Class | Role | Armor | Weapon | Stats | Starting town | Sheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior (Warrior) | Melee, lots of HP | Heavy (Armor set) | Greatsword or daikatana | STR 9 · INT 1 · DEX 2 | Bloody Ice | Warrior |

| Wizard (Wizard) | Ranged, area magic damage | Light (Martial set) | Orb | INT as high as possible, some STR/DEX for gear | Green Despair | Wizard |
| Force Archer (Force Archer) | Ranged, single target and support | Medium (Battle set) | Crystal | STR 2 · INT 6 · DEX 4 | Green Despair | Force Archer |
| Force Shielder (Force Shielder) | Melee, front-line tank | Heavy (Armor set) | Sword + crystal | STR 5 · INT 4 · DEX 3 | Bloody Ice | Force Shielder |
| Force Blader (Force Blader) | Hybrid melee, debuffs | Medium (Battle set) | Katana + orb | STR 4 · INT 4 · DEX 4 | Desert Scream | Force Blader |

| Dark Mage (Dark Mage) | Dark magic and summons | Light (Martial set) | Orb | STR 2 · INT 9 · DEX 2 | Desert Scream | Dark Mage |
The stats are the guideline STR / INT / DEX ratio used in this guide; always adjust it to the requirements of the gear you plan to wear. To decide with the table:
- You want to soak up damage and learn without suffering: heavy armor, that is, Warrior, Gladiator or Force Shielder.
- You want to hit from range and clear rooms in a party or in dungeons: Wizard, Force Archer or Force Gunner.
- You want speed and duels: Blader or Force Blader, knowing they demand good handling.
- You want something different from all of the above: Dark Mage, with dark magic and summons.
Best class for PvP
This guide singles out two classes as the PvP favorites: the Blader (Blader) and the Force Blader (Force Blader). The Blader wins through speed, evasion and critical hits, at the cost of wearing light armor; the Force Blader combines katana and orb to weaken the opponent with curses and finish with precision, and it is the only class on the list described as very strong in PvP. Both demand good handling.
For the rest of the classes this guide makes no PvP claim: Warrior, Gladiator and Force Shielder are described by their toughness, and Wizard, Force Archer and Force Gunner by how they perform in a party and in dungeons.
Capella and Procyon face each other in the Nation War (Mission War): how it works, its level brackets and its rules are in that guide, and if you have not picked a side yet, see Capella or Procyon.
