Already have a character and want to know where to level? Go straight to the level 1 to 200 leveling route.
Starting Cabal Online in 2026 is easier than it looks: the game is free, the client downloads itself and in a couple of hours you are already chaining combos in Nevareth. This beginner's guide takes you from creating the account to your first dungeons, with the tips we wish we had had the first time.
1. Create your account and download the game
- Create your account with a Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, Live or Yahoo email. You will receive a verification code by email.
- Download the launcher (under 1 MB) and open it in an empty folder, for example C:/Cabal Latino.
- Press Download full game (about 9 GB). You can close the launcher and come back later: it resumes where it left off.
- When START appears, log in with the same username and password as on the website.
If Windows shows an “unknown publisher” warning, click More info → Run anyway. The step-by-step is in How to install.
2. Pick your class (and don't overthink it)
There are 9 classes. For a first character we recommend Warrior or Gladiator: sturdy, direct and perfect for learning the combo without dying every minute. If you prefer to hit from range, Wizard or Force Archer. You can create several characters on the same account, so nothing is lost if you change your mind.
3. Levels 1 to 50: learn the combo and follow the quests
- Follow the quests in your starting town. The main quests give more EXP, Alz and gear than any grinding at that level, and they walk you through the map.
- Turn on combo mode as early as possible. When the combo bar appears, cast the next skill right when the marker passes through the highlighted zone. Every hit chains the next one faster. Practice on easy monsters until it comes naturally.
- Do the class rank quests when they show up. Every few levels the game offers you a rank quest (Class Rank): it unlocks new skills, higher skill levels and, in time, the Battle Modes. Skipping them is the most common mistake.
- Use the newcomer support. The Adventure Support system gives you rewards per level and marks your next steps.
- Do not sell cores or upgrade stones. Upgrade Cores and Force Cores are used to improve gear later and are worth far more than what the shop pays.
4. Levels 50 to 100: Port Lux, nation and first dungeons
From level 50 Port Lux opens up, the game's big meeting point, followed by Fort Ruina (65), Undead Ground (80) and Forgotten Ruin (95). Check the maps by level guide so you do not grind in the wrong place.
At level 52 you can choose a nation, Capella or Procyon, which opens Nation War, the best source of EXP and honor from then on.
The first dungeons are Lake in Dusk (level 55), Ruina Station (70), Tower of the Undead B1F (85) and Volcanic Citadel (95). If you do not dare yet, there are “weakened” versions of Ruina Station (45) and Tower of the Undead B1F (55) to practice. Every dungeon page lists which monsters drop the entry item and with what chance; it can also be bought from other players.
5. From 100 to 200
Lakeside (110), Mutant Forest (125), Pontus Ferrum (140), Porta Inferno (160), Arcane Trace (180) and Senillinea (190). At level 110 the solo DX dungeons arrive (Panic Cave, Steamer Crazy, Catacomb Frost and Lava Hellfire), ideal for farming gear without depending on a party, and Chaos Arena gives fast EXP in every level bracket. Reaching 200 ends nothing: Overlord Mastery and Mythical Mastery begin.
Time-saving tips
- The Warp Center connects every map; you reach it from the portal of any town and pay a few Alz per trip.
- Keep the dungeon entry items even if you are not high enough yet: you will use them or sell them.
- Use the warehouse and do not fill your inventory with white gear.
- Join a guild: party dungeons, help with quests and organized Nation War.
- If you forget your password, you recover it by email in a minute from Recover account.
Typical beginner mistakes
- Spreading stats without a plan and ending up unable to equip the armor of your level.
- Ignoring the class rank quests and reaching level 80 with level 30 skills.
- Grinding on maps that are too low out of fear: the EXP is where the monsters are your level.
- Turning PK on by accident on a map full of the opposing nation.
