Quest journal
Nodaka seems to be asking about her friend's whereabouts.
According to Henderson, there's a problem in the Swamp Management Zone. Go to Lakeside.
Examine the tombstones carefully.
Tell Nodaka about the message on the tombstone.
Henderson seems really shocked.
Dialogue
Offer: Nodaka (Core Alchemist)
Greetings, Warrior!
I heard that you've been visiting the colonies lately.
There was something I wanted to ask you.
- Did something happen?
Yes, sure enough...
My friend had received orders from the Sage to go to the Swamp Management Zone, but suddenly stopped contacting me.
When you get the chance, would you be able to ask the Sage about what's going on?
- I'll ask him when I finish this patrol.
Sure! Thank you so much.
By the way, Guard Henderson was looking for you.
You should meet him!
- Understood. (accepts the quest)
Step 1: Henderson (Guard)
Have you been well?
I actually haven't been doing too well...
One day my friend stopped contacting me.
- Nodaka talked about that.
Okay! I heard about that too.
Both of them were appointed to the Swamp Management Zone.
Where were they dispatched in the Swamp Management Zone?
People are usually dispatched to Lakeside.
The conflict is most intense there right now.
- Listen to the next story
I don't think anything horrible has happened, but...
I'm still worried.
I haven't received a single message. Sometimes my friend's parents ask me if there have been any messages, but I don't have anything to tell them.
If you end up going to Lakeside, I'd appreciate it if you could find my friend for me.
- Go to Lakeside.
Step 2: Tombstone
It looks like someone made a grave in a hurry.
Something is visible around the pile of dirt.
Upon closer inspection, it appears to be a rolled up message.
Take it just in case.
- Take the rolled up message.
Step 3: Nodaka (Core Alchemist)
I've been waiting for you, Warrior! Did you find my friend in Lakeside?
- I'm sorry. I couldn't find your friend.
What?
Henderson's friend, too?
What happened?
- Hand over the letter found at Lakeside.
Oh, this is... Let me take a look.
My beloved Capella comrades, as Nevarethians, we must strive to make a living in this place.
Unfortunately, I was unable to see the end of this cruel war amongst ourselves and must now be laid to rest.
- ... It's hard to see Nodaka's shocked expression.
... I can't believe my eyes.
My friend is... Dead?
No way. This can't be.
Go to Henderson.
He may have already met his friend...
- Go to Guard Henderson again
Step 1, afterwards: Henderson (Guard)
I'm still worried.
I haven't received a single message. Sometimes my friend's parents ask me if there have been any messages, but I don't have anything to tell them.
If you end up going to Lakeside, I'd appreciate it if you could find my friend for me.
- Go to Lakeside
Turn-in: Henderson (Guard)
Ah, I've been waiting!
Any news of my friend?
Hm? What's this letter?
- Henderson is reading the letter.
This is...
No way.
You mean that my friend died like this?
Just a short time ago we were working together and he was fine!
How can I face his parents?
- Listen to the next story
Sage Capella?
Was it reported?
There are this many victims and they still plan on continuing the war?
I hope not.
