Basic Fighting

I am the instructor, or teacher, who will take charge from this point on of your training

Do you have any battle experience? If not, I'll give you a brief description of how you fight in a a battle.

Left Click a monster and then click a hot key for one of the skills in the quick slots,

or Right click a skill icon in the Skill window or quick slot to use the skill you have just chosen.

• What's a quick slot?

The empty square boxes from [1] to [=] you see at the bottom of the screen are Quick Slots.

In other words, it's the Hot Key Window. The letters written over each of the empty boxes are the hot keys.

• I see.

Okay, take this weapon outside this town

and start hunting Mantis. Getting the 'feel' of it is the first step.

You can easily pick up the Alz and items dropped by a monster simply by pressing Spacebar.

• I'll go now. (accepts the quest)

You should be able to find Mantis just outside this town.

It's not a powerful monster, so you should be able to beat it if you remain calm while fighting.

And don't forget to use the potions at the right timing.

• Okay.

I'll give you Terra Arrow, which is a skill for shooting arrows by concentrating the energy of the earth.
