Basic Fighting

To all fighters of Nevareth, I welcome you.

I am the instructor, or teacher, who will take charge from this point on of your training

Do you have any battle experience? If not, I'll give you a brief description of how you can fight in a battle.

Left Click a monster and then click a shortcut key for one of the skills in the quick slots,

or Right Click a skill icon in the Skill window or quick slot to use the skill you have just chosen.

• What's a quick slot?

The empty square boxes from [1] to [=] you see at the bottom of the screen are Quick Slots.

They're also called Hott Key Windows.

The letters written over each of the empty boxes are the Hot keys.

• I see.

Okay. Now take the weapon out of this town and start killing Garlies.

Getting the feel of it is the first step.

You can easily pick up the Alz and items dropped by a monster simply by pressing Spacebar.

• I'll go now. (accepts the quest)

You can see Garlie when you go outside the town.

It's not a powerful monster, so you should be able to beat it if you remain calm while fighting.

And don't forget to use the potions at the right timing.

You did good, considering it was your first time. As a gift, I'll give you a skill.

I'll give you Step Slash, which is a skill that makes your opponent lose his/her sense of direction.
