Turner's Past, Part Two

• I still have a lot of questions.

I bet you do.

He's always been such an enigmatic figure, haha.

• Go visit Turner. (accepts the quest)

It seems my story piqued your interest.

• I hadn't the foggiest notion you had any connection with Aldebaran.

Hmm, is that so?

Anyway, I suppose your coming here means you'd like to hear more of my story?

• Indeed. You really stunned me with that comment about Aldebaran having a bad relationship with the two Sages.

Well, it's all in the past now...

Aldebaran has passed away, after all.

Anyway, I suppose you recall our previous arrangement about doing me a certain favor before hearing more?

• Sure, sure, I remember.

Haha, sorry to come off a bit brazen.

Consider your new task a favor to us all.

Something that will help heal us all.

• What sort of favor are we talking about this time?

This time... If you go to the Eternal Chaos Arena, you'll come across a type of creature known as the Ergdusu of Eternity.

When in danger, these creatures drop items called Ergdusu Stones. Bring me one of those.

• Might as well get on with it.

Forgive me, but I have much yet to do,

so there's no time to dawdle.

I must ask you to hurry back from this task.

• You'd best get going.

So you've fulfilled yet another of my requests.

I'm truly grateful.

Before I continue, I must mention again that this tale is by no means light in its telling.

But if you really want to hear it, I'll pick up where I left off last time.

Last time I ended by mentioning that Aldebaran had an acrimonious relationship with the two Sages Capella and Procyon.

Indeed, there should be no question about that.

They had completely disparate notions about what an ideal society should look like.

Just as there is enmity between Capella and Procyon at present, the two did not take Aldebaran's opinions kindly.

• He must be speaking of past events within the Sage Tower.

After Aldebaran's death, I had no one to take me in.

That was when Sage Capella and Sage Procyon helped me.

I was extremely grateful to them.

So much so that when they came to me with a request, I assented without any hesitation.

That, however, would prove to be the greatest error of my entire life.

• What did they ask you to do?

That I cannot tell you.

What I did was forbidden.

In the end, I was imprisoned and nearly killed because of them.

• What in heaven's name were they up to?

However, someone came and set me free.

It was their kindness alone that allowed me to survive.

Nothing more.
