The Old Base

Hey, you. I've been seeing you around a lot lately, haven't I?

Haha, you know what?

Entrance to the southern and northern regions has been strictly prohibited for the Senillineans!

• What? Really?
• Let's not talk right now.

Do I look like someone who would play around?

I'm the most serious person I know! I don't know how to play around.

Look at these real muscles. Hahaha!

• I don't see what muscles have to do with how serious someone is.

Well, listen.

The southern region used to be an evergreen forest, but not any more.

The Senillineans can't enter the southern or northern areas any more.

We can only stay in the central pastures! This is our land.

• Why?

Because the northern and southern regions belong to the guardians.

The Senillineans were too weak compared to the gigantic guardians.

That's why we made a promise of balance with the guardians.

• A promise of balance?

Yes. Well, about that.

Ahem, if you're curious, do me a favor first!

Haha. It's nothing big. You should finish pretty quickly.

• Sigh, nothing's free in this world!

If you go into that forest over there...

There are mushrooms! The problem is, they move around, so I can't catch them!

I heard that those mushrooms are really healthy for you when cooked!

• You mean the Outrageous Mushrooms?

Right, those are the ones!

Please collect an Outrageous Mushroom for me!

Grocer Stefanie said she'll cook it if you take it to her.

• Whew, okay. (accepts the quest)

Right, those are the ones!

Please collect an Outrageous Mushroom for me!

Grocer Stefanie said she'll cook it if you take it to her.

• Get going.

I heard everything from Le d'Song!

I see you've brought everything as promised.

Well, let me tell you about the promise of balance.

• Listen to the next story.

I don't know how long Nevareth has been around, but...

Senillinea has been around for an extremely long time.

Animals have lived on this continent since well before the appearance of humans.

They carry a miraculous power and their leaders can live for hundreds of years.

• Hundreds of years?

The humans on this continent are so weak that it wouldn't be that strange if one day we all vanished.

The animals, however, are gigantic and have miraculous power. They're like gods.

• Godlike animals...

We promised these incredible animals one thing.

We promised to leave the northern and southern forests alone. As long as we respected and acknowledged their existence, they would do the same for us.

That's the promise of balance.

• So, that's what the promise of balance is.

Since then, we've called them guardians.

During the Age of Balance, it felt like they were protecting us as long as we kept the promise.

• Guardians - it sounds sacred.

However, once the tower exploded, the humans and guardians were faced with a new situation.

Our old home was destroyed.

We had nowhere we could go.

In the end, humans couldn't continue to just live in the pastures.

Everything was so chaotic.

• Listen to the next story

That's when Sage Capella and her comrades appeared.

Capella offered us a road out of the chaos.

All the Senillineans residing the in the southern forest look up to and respect Capella.

I'm a huge fan of hers.

• Would you tell me about Capella?

What? You want to hear about Capella?

Of course!

Capella made a promise.

She can't stop things that are drastically changing, but she said she can help restore our old way of life to a certain extent.

• What's the old way of life?

Just like how Nevarethians are divided into two countries, Capella and Procyon, the Senillineans are also divided in two.

We're at the crossroads of choice and chaos.

Those who want to return to how we used to live and keep the promise of balance.

And those who want to help usher in a new age.

• Listen to the next story

Isn't there a peaceful way to make everyone happy on this continent?

I think returning to our old way of living is the answer.

We need to keep the promise of balance.

• So, you want to keep the promise of balance?

Capella promised to do just that.

The pasture is way too dangerous right now, but she promised to restore it one day.

I don't know how this continent will change in the future, but we'll keep our promise with the guardians again.

• The people in the northern forest must have a different opinion, right? (completes the quest)
