The Slot Extender (called Ampliación Slot in the Spanish client) is one of the rarest drops in Cabal Online: it adds a slot to an item that has none. It comes in five grades and each one drops in different places: the Low grade can be farmed from level 55 in Lake in Dusk; from Medium to Ultimate, the best spot is always the chest in the Labyrinth. Below you have the summary table and, grade by grade, every place with its real drop rate.
| Grades | 5: Low, Medium, High, Highest and Ultimate |
|---|---|
| Best chance in the family | 0.12% · Slot Extender (Medium) · Labyrinth chest |
| Rarest grade | Slot Extender (Ultimate) · 0.002% · Labyrinth chest |
| Where to start | Lake in Dusk (level 55) · Low · Zigdris Faello, 0.08% |
| Places per grade | Low 9 · Medium 20 · High 24 · Highest 31 · Ultimate 10 |
What the Slot Extender is and what it is for
Slotted items are the ones that accept a Force Core, which adds an option such as critical rate, critical damage, attack or HP; a weapon with slots and good options is worth more than the same weapon with a higher upgrade level. The Slot Extender creates that slot on an item that has none, which is why it is one of the drops that hold up the server economy. How it fits together with Upgrade Core and Alz is in the gear upgrade guide.
The five grades, each with its item page:
- Slot Extender (Low)
- Slot Extender (Medium)
- Slot Extender (High)
- Slot Extender (Highest)
- Slot Extender (Ultimate)
Table: best place for each grade
Chance per chest or per monster according to the server drop table; it does not stack across places. The "once every" column is the average that comes out of that percentage.
| Grade | Best place | Source | Chance | Once every (average) | Places where it drops |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Low | Lake in Dusk | Zigdris Faello | 0.08% | 1,250 | 9 |
| Medium | Labyrinth | Chest | 0.12% | 833 | 20 |
| High | Labyrinth | Chest | 0.03% | 3,333 | 24 |
| Highest | Labyrinth | Chest | 0.0075% | 13,333 | 31 |
| Ultimate | Labyrinth | Chest | 0.002% | 50,000 | 10 |
Two things stand out in the table: Medium has a better chance than Low (0.12% versus 0.08%), and from Medium upwards everything goes through the Labyrinth, a level 200 dungeon for 1 player and 20 minutes that you enter with the Dragon Slate. Low and Medium can be farmed before level 100; High, Highest and Ultimate, apart from Chaos Arena, come from dungeons and maps of level 105 and up.

Tips for farming Slot Extender
- Farm where the chance is higher, not where the monster is easier: the table rules.
- The Labyrinth is for 1 player and lasts 20 minutes: you can repeat it without depending on a party. Keep your Dragon Slates even if you are not level 200 yet.
- If you go to Lake in Dusk for the Low grade, kill Jidarsch, Pogarr and Rik too: they drop the Low (0.035%) and the Medium (0.007%).
- The level 110 solo DX dungeons (Panic Cave, Steamer Crazy, Catacomb Frost, Lava Hellfire) give the High with 0.001% and the Highest with 0.0001%: they are a side chance while you farm cores, not a target. See the DX dungeons guide.
- Compare with the market before farming; what else sells well is in the most wanted drops.
