The Sign of Destruction...
Do you remember Dr. Grem who pioneered the field of ancient mechanical science? He gave human life and heart to the machine race. The problem was that he also gave them human greed.
Infected by human greed, the machines even organized a group to conquer the human civilization, and equipped themselves the power and ability to fight humans.
- The power and ability to fight humans?
Yes. They had the Energy Chip that can endlessly produce mechanical energy.
A story has it that the machine monsters stole the Energy Chip from Dr. Grem's lab...but I'm not so sure about that.
Anyway, the Energy Chip must have been quite something. The machine monsters started fighting with each other to have the Energy Chip all to themselves. They fought often, and their organization collapsed rapidly.
And humans of the ancient civilization took the opportunity and were able to destroy the machine monsters that tried to conquer their world.
- So even the machine monsters lost because of greed...
You can say that.
If the machine monsters didn't fight among themselves over the Energy Chip, we could have turned into slaves to the Metal Clan by now.
It's a testimony of the fact that our future is determined by every moment of our life...It's a scary thing.
