The lion stone statue is engraved with mysterious word fragments. The parchment inside the statue must have been used to activate some kind of device.

Inside the temple is strangely quiet.
You climbed up the stairs from the entrance, and arrived at a locked door.
You found an hourglass in front of door. This must be a device to unlock the door.

You found some kind of letters on the stone carved lion statue.
Because the letters were fragments of sentences that were greatly damaged, you were unable to figure out the exact meaning other than reading several words.

You found some kind of door unlocking device.
Considering that you can only activate the device from the outside, it must have been used to lock something inside.
You might be able to activate the device by using the spell parchment from the lion statue.
As you bring the parchment close to the device, part of spell written on the parchment started emitting light as if it is responding to the device.
