You have defeated Tirff, a member of the Nagas, and found the 2nd Volcanic Stone. Tirff must had been the gate keeper. You have received Tirff's Jewel which appears to be some sort of key.

You found a peculiar stone shaped like a tombstone at the cave entrance, which is commonly known as Volcanic Stone.
As you took a closer look, it seems to be composed of elements as similar as ones of the red stone which you have found.
That mysterious peculiar red igneous stone must have come from this cave.

The Gate of the Nagas
As immediately as you defeated Tirff, another volcanic stone at the other side started emitting light.
When you approach the volcanic stone, the red light becomes flaring up as if it responds to you.
