Turn-in: Dion (Armor Dealer)
It looks like we have a lot more fighters who do missions according to the message in the capsules.
Fighter, did you also do the mission before coming here to ask me to tell you a story?
- Yup. That's right. I want to learn about the End of Destruction.
The End of Destruction refers to the final situation that the Metal Clan of the Ancient Civilization faced after failing to conquer the human civilization.
The Machine Monsters had the intelligence as well as the greed of humans thanks to an ancient mechanical scientist named Dr. Grem, but their greed for power ultimately led to their own destruction.
Well...I'll just get right to the point. The final moment when the leader of the monster machines was defeated is what's really important.
- The final moment? Why?
They say the moment the leader was destroyed, giant mechanical parts that formed the machine were shattered into hundreds of thousands of pieces, and were sent flying all over the places, including the land, mountains, and ocean.
They described the scene as watching the shining stars in the night sky. They thought that's how the machine monsters became extinct.
But after the Great Destruction and as all the terrain changed, the metal pieces that flew out from the boss machine monster automatically reunited, and instantly became thousands of machine monsters.
- Are you saying that the extinct monsters came back to life?
Well, you can say that.
Some people say that the machine monsters had developed reproductive cells in their body during the experiments done by Dr. Grem, and that's how they were reassembled. We don't know for sure though...
Anyway, to the machine monsters, the End of Destruction was not really the end.
- I see. Thanks for telling me the story. (completes the quest)
