Offer: Arbor of Forbidden Ambition
[Gardener of Ambition]
Everyone has an ambition
regardless it is small or big. More importantly, an ambition can hurt both the bearer and others.
How'd you like to listen to the story of Smern?
He was a gardener who had an ambition of a king.
- This story must be about an ambition.
[Gardener of Ambition]
Smern knew how much Siena loved his flowers.
Smern knew the Devitares had the garden for Siena.
Because of these two things that he knew, Smern became obsessed with an ambition until his last moment.
He had a love, or obsession toward Siena. He wanted her love. He also wanted to become part of the Devitares, so he could achieve his love.
- Basically he became ambitious for love. (accepts the quest)
[Gardener of Ambition]
One day, he saw Siena going on a picnic to a nearby forest.
He thought, 'I might be able to conquer her love if I save her from danger.'
It was a dangerous idea, but he cut off a branch of a giant tree to make anyone on the branch to fall off instantly.
His plan was successful; Siena stepped on the branch and then fell off the tree.
- So, he caused the accident.
[Gardener of Ambition]
Not everything turned out to be what he wanted; Siena was infected by an unknown substance, turning into a monster.
The Goddess of fortune betrayed his ambition to conquer Siena's love and join the Deviatres by saving her from danger.
Because of him, Siena turned into a monster and her parents gave up everything to cure her disease.
Smern thought, 'I still want Siena whether or not she is a monster.'
- His ambition turned into obsession.
[Gardener of Ambition]
Even after infected by Siena, Smern hadn't forgotten his duty as her gardener, taking care of her Seeds.
While Siena is preparing for a fight with the two sages, he's secretly wishing that they would hurt her, so he could take both her and the world to himself.
And that's why he's more dangerous than Siena.
- I guess Siena isn't the only enemy to defeat.

Turn-in: Arbor of Forbidden Ambition
[Water bubbles]
What does an ambition and obsession have in common?
When they are frustrated, they drive the bearers berserk, destroying themselves.
Smern too was destroyed by his own ambition and obsession.
Like water bubbles that raise and then deflate completely...
- Too much is just as bad as too little. (completes the quest)
