Dialogue
Offer: Morison (Officer)
Oh, you came!
You came just in time when I have something important to tell you.
What do you think about the atmosphere in Nevareth nowadays?
Can't you feel the tension mounting all over Nevareth after the collapse of the Sage Tower and as the Capellas and Procyons are in a feud?
- Yes. I did feel something is off-balance.
Right! So you were having the same feeling!
Rumor has it that a mysterious fighter named Sir Minesta came back because of the unstable situation.
- Sir Minesta? Who is that?
So I guess you haven't heard the rumor yet.
Sir Minesta is a descendant of a noble family of scientists who played a leading role in the flourishing ancient civilization. For many of the past generations, the members of his family have been secretly working on a powerful Alternative Energy that's as good as the 5th Force discovered by Faust, and they hid the research project from the government.
Before the Great Destruction, and after many generations of work, Sir Minesta was finally able to complete the research.
However, he couldn't test and prove the power of the Alternative Energy in time of turmoil right before the Great Destruction.
- So what happened?
He decided to become a test subject himself and absorbed the Alternative Energy, and the result was tremendous.
He gained godly powers, and he also developed skills to use the powers at will.
While the devastating effects of the Great Destruction were taking place, Sir Minesta used his powers to save a countless number of lives, and he instantly became People's Hero.
But...a stupid rumor instantly turned him from being a hero to a Demon King.
- What rumor?
The rumor was it that Sir Minesta gained the great powers by selling his soul to the Demon King, and that he's trying to conquer the world with the Demon King.
The rumor spread quickly, and Sir Minesta disappeared.
Later, people realized that it was just a stupid rumor...but Sir Minesta didn't come back.
Since then, people would spread the rumor that Sir Minesta is coming back, particularly in times of turmoil like this. Well, at first I thought it was just a rumor created by the Nevarethians because they want peace...
- Did he really come back?
Although he didn't come back, something as powerful as he is showed up.
It's Minesta's Research Log, and it recently came to our colony. It's Minesta's Research Log, and it recently came to our colony. They say an unidentified old man left it to the guard.
We've asked a number of noted scholars and researchers to find out if it's real, and they agreed that it really is Minesta's Research Log.
And the Research Log also included details of the Alternative Energy and Battle Skills using the energy.
- Can I learn the Battle Skills then?
Of course.
I woundn't be telling you all this if you can't even learn this, would I? Haha!
Our colony created a course for qualified fighters to learn the Battle Skills according to the records in the Minesta Log.
If you're interested, go talk to Colony instructor Harper.
- Okay, I understand. (accepts the quest)
Turn-in: Harper (Instructor)
Hmm? What is it?
Is there something you want?
- I want to learn Sir Minesta's Battle Skills.
Ha! So I guess the officer gave you some valuable information as he usually does to strangers.
Ha-ha! Anyway, those who do not qualify would simply give up, so I'll go ahead and tell you how you'll be learning the Battle Skills.
- I won't give up. Please tell me more.
Ha-ha! Relax! I was just kidding! Here... Listen to me carefully.
Sir Minesta's Battle Skills are based on tremendous energy that normal people can't handle. That's why you need enough physical strength and ability to handle the energy.
I've heard that Sir Minesta hid the Special Training Books with which his successors can handle the Alternative Energy.
It's recorded in the research paper that the Training Books can be obtained in the Dusk Lake, Strange Forest, Machine Land, and Entrance to the Demon World.
- I think I know where that is!
You or any other Nevarethian can understand what they really mean. They're referring to Lakeside, Mutant Forest, Pontus Ferrum, and Porta Inferno.
Anyway, if you come back to me after completing the mission in the Training Book, I'll give you something called the Stain Clone.
The Stain Clone is the most basic material for making the Battle Skill Book, and it's made according to the recipe at the Colony Research Center.
- Do I have to collect the Stain Clones to learn new Battle Skills?
That's right! I see you're a fast learner!
Besides Stain Clones, you will also need something called Trance Force to Craft Skill Book. Craft Merchant Chloe in Port Lux sells it. It's quite expensive, but you'll have to understand it because they are so rare.
Also, you can request Chloe to craft the Skill Book Recipe according to the characteristics of each class type.
Of course, there will be no problem even if you craft other items by using Stain Clone.
- oh, then I need to buy Transmuter from Chloe and ask her to craft.
That's right.
It's not that complicated either. All you have to do is make a Skill Book by using the materials and recipe needed to make a Skill Book and learn the Battle Skills.
You must remember that you can't learn Sir Minesta's Battle Skills at once. It takes three different stages to master them.
That's why you need to make a Skill Book for each stage. At this time, you don't have to follow the order when making the Skill Books, but you do have to learn the skills in each respective stage.
- Three stages? It doesn't sound easy.
I told you from the beginning that those who do not qualify would simply give up from the start. Ha-ha!
However, if you do learn these skills, I guarantee you that you'll love them.
What I'm trying to say is that it's worth the time and effort.
Well, I'll give you one of our Colony's Training Books as a gift so you can start practicing.
This is as far as I can help you. It's totally up to you from now on. Good luck.
- Okay. I promise I'll learn the skill. (completes the quest)
