Children of the City

Have you been to the Forgotten Ruin recently?

• Yes, how did you know?

Hmm... So it was you.

Did you happen to take something from there?

• Yes, someone asked me to.

Hoho, I see...

It seems that the town children are upset with you.

Solmea is looking for you. Meet with Solmea.

• Understood. (accepts the quest)

Ah, you've come, Warrior.

I was looking for you.

• Is something wrong?

Hmm, let me ask you...

Warrior, do you know what keeps our town alive?

• I'm not sure.

Ah, I see that you don't.

Let me tell you.

I sincerely hope that you stop taking things from the Forgotten Ruin.

• I don't really know. Did I do something wrong?

Whew...

I don't know how to explain it to you.

Please ask Eillens for more details about it.

I apologize for speaking to you so arrogantly...

• Find Grocer Eillens.

Ah... You've come.

I've been waiting.

Did Solmea tell you anything?

• I don't really understand our current situation.

Yes, he might have.

What I can tell you is that the Forgotten Ruin is the source of income for my brothers, sisters and even Solmea.

You can't possible know how difficult it is for us to survive.

• You go to places swarming with monsters?

Okay. Are you surprised?

Actually, we only recently started living this way.

Everything happened because of the war.

The war forced us out.

My brothers and sisters are still fine, though. They had experience doing something.

But the other children are different.

• Listen to the next story.

If the war ends quickly, the kids won't need to go to such a dangerous place...

If you go to Stberry, you can hear the full story.

• What on earth could be happening to these children?

Please ask Eillens for more details about it.

I apologize for speaking to you so arrogantly...

• Okay

Eillens sent you?

Ah, I think I know what the matter is.

You may not really know it, but lately it's been rare to see younger people in the city.

In other words, there's almost nobody to parent Eillens or Solmea.

• Why?

This is all because of the war...

Because of the war between Procyon and Capella, only old people, kids, and a few guards are left.

In the end, the children take risks in order to survive and enter the Forgotten Ruin.

Whether it's Broken Fragments like the ones you took, or something else, these kids gather them and sell them.

• Listen to the next story

They say the Forgotten Ruin used to be a very developed city.

It's not that way anymore, though.

Only the remains of the ruined city are left.

According to my grandma, the Lord of Destruction disappeared after showing his power, leaving only traces.

I don't know if it's true or not.

• The Lord of Destruction's power...!

Anyway, control yourself next time.

If you pity these children at all.

I don't know who asked you to do that, but I hope it wasn't the Sage who ordered it...
