The native insisted that your Fire Protection belonged to his father. Let's listen to him for more information.

Dialogue
Offer: Arsiow
????
Who are you?
How did you come in here? You must have a death wish, stranger!
...Wait, what's that in your hand? Isn't that my father's Fire Protection?
How come is it in your possession? No, did you defeat my father, Chief Syarsor?
- Yes, and he ran away leaving this behind. (accepts the quest)
????
Muhahaha! I can't believe someone actually has defeated the monster! It serves him right.
It's a shame, but I couldn't beat him because his Requiem Necklace is too powerful to even get close to him.
He wants to designate my brother as his successor because that coward can control spirits unlike me. But I won't let that happen.
Say, how'd you like to give me your Fire Protection? I'll give you something valuable in return.
- Let's ask him what he's offering.
Where are my manners? Sorry, my name is Arsiow.
As you may know this already, I've been focusing on study to defeat 'Queen Calamity' coiling around this island.
Since you defeated my father, you may be able to use my masterpiece weapon: a spear that can pierce Queen Calamity.
I was killed by Queen Calamity's curse before I had a chance to use it.
- Do you really want to give me the spear?
That's right. I'll give you my weapon. You know you can escape from this island only if you kill Queen Calamity. Right?
Frankly, I'm having a second thought; I don't know if I'm doing a right thing to give away this precious weapon to a stranger.
So why don't you go finish Syarsor and bring his Requiem Necklace to me?
You probably have to defeat his righthand man before him. Prove me that you didn't obtain the Fire Protection by luck.
- Fair enough; I'll show you my power.

Turn-in: Arsiow
Wow, I'm impressed. It's rare to see a stranger who is as strong as you are.
As I promised, I'll give you the ultimate weapon to defeat Queen Calamity. You don't actually have to wield it; just keep it in your possession. For that, I had to steal a power from my father's necklace.
I won't have any hope left if you're defeated and lost this weapon. But I won't regret my choice because I can take your life away if that happens. So, do your best.
- You've received Abyssal Spear from Arsiow. (completes the quest)
